Design and Construction of New Chimneys and Stacks

Every new project is different. Pullman Power approaches each with open-thinking, innovation, expertise and experience to create optimum design and construction solutions.

We research, evaluate and plan for all the factors that will affect design and construction. Once the column configuration and lining type has been determined, designs are carefully reviewed again to find the most functional construction process for the lowest price.

The most economical and most commonly used construction technique is jumpforming. With this traditional technique, chimneys rise by one 7'-6" lift (or jump), usually one per day.

When construction time is short or the structure exceeds the limitations of our jumpforming systems, the slipform technique is employed. With slipforming, a 1200-foot chimney column can be constructed in less than three months through continuous, around-the-clock construction. It's definitely preferred for rush situations.
